Emily brings to PennSpring over 16 years of experience in providing financial and operational services to privately owned companies, specializing in consolidation and integration, margin enhancement, institutional readiness and financial reporting. For PennSpring, Emily is focused on acquisition due diligence and holdings value enhancement.
Prior to joining PennSpring, Emily led the portfolio services team at a U.S. Top 100 CPA firm. She primarily supported private equity-owned platform companies in the SaaS, manufacturing and life sciences industries. This team supported the transaction, stand-up and hold period reporting for multiple PE owned entities, including a $106 million public company carve-out, a 26-entity dental service organization roll-up and the merger and recapitalization of two of the largest specialized providers in the site services and clinical research industry. Previously, Emily worked in the IT field, specializing in tech enablement for closely-held businesses.
Emily earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting Concentration from Millersville University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Media from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She holds designations as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and is accredited in Business Valuation (ABV). She also holds a designation as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Emily currently serves on the Finance Committee of the Benchmark Program, a fitness-based mentoring program for at-risk youth, and previously served as the Board President and Treasurer of Visioncorps, a not-for-profit that empowers individuals with vision loss to attain independence through rehabilitative, preventative and employment services.
Emily resides in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania with her husband and daughter.
